Summer Poetry: D-TRAIN
brown as cognac. Brown as leaves. Red-brown.
Malays yellow.
express train Berlin - Trelleborg and the seaside resorts. -
meat that went naked.
up in the mouth browned by the sea.
Reif lowered. To Greek Happiness.
In sickle-longing: how far the summer!
second last day of the ninth month already! -
stubble and longs last almond within.
abstentions, the blood, the weariness, the
Georginennähe makes us confused. -
men Brown pounces on Mrs. Brown:
A woman is for one night.
And if it was nice to have for the next one!
And then again, this case-to-be-self!
This dumbness. If this gear!
A woman is something to smell.
unsayable. Die out. Mignonette.
This is the south, and Sea Shepherd.
At each slope declines lucky. -
Mrs Tan staggers on Men Dark Brown:
Hold me! You know, I fall!
I'm so tired in the neck. O
this feverish sweet smell from the last
gardens. -
Gottfried Benn, 1912
